Originally an Army Navy department store back in the day, the Urban Nest was created by photographer Lynne Harty in 2005, and has been a favorite vacation spot for 100's of people from all over the world.

Stay in luxury in the middle of downtown Asheville - literally, you could not find a better location. Within a five minute walk are many of Asheville's best farm to table restaurants, locally owned shops, Pack Square (which has the Asheville Art Museum, the beautiful Pack Square Park, and soon the new French Broad Chocolate Lounge!), art galleries and the local fav, the Fine Arts Theatre. On warm Friday nights, you can walk to Pritchard Park at the end of the block to see hundreds of people grooving to the beat of the drum circle. Round the curve and you'll encounter numerous performance artists and street musicians. Sip a glass of wine and nibble some gourmet treats at one of the many outdoor eateries such as the Battery Park Book Exchange, 5 Walnut Wine Bar or Chai Pani. Walk over to catch an independent movie at the locally owned Fine Arts Theater after sitting at a picnic table next door to enjoy a White Duck Taco or ice cream cone from the Marble Slab. Parking is available on the street or in the large covered parking deck across the street for a maximum of $12/day. You will feel secure in the condo, as the building is locked at street level but also has a buzzer system to allow visitors to enter and come up on the elevator or stairs. The Lobster Trap, a popular seafood restaurant, is on the first floor, and Spa Theology, a beautiful day spa, is right next door, and they offer special packages for our guests. If you have special requests, such as chocolates or flowers for a special occasion, you can ask your hosts, Lynne and Steve, and they will accommodate you whenever possible. Our hosts live and work nearby, so just ask if you need anything.
